VW Trucks in Europe

It looks like a Vanagon, but it's not. It's the Larger RWD LT with the inline diesel 6 cylinder engine.  I would like to have one of these.  I believe it would be infinitely more useful than a Chevy pickup as long as you didn't want to go any faster than 65 MPH.  It's hard to judge by this photo, but these are HUGE!  You could fit 6 to 9 people in that cab depending on whether you're worried about the seatbelt law.  The door to the rear seat is on the right side for entry from the curb.  The motor that is used in this truck is the same 2.4L engine that Volvo used in the 240 and 740 Diesel and TurboDiesels.  Yep, the engines in those Volvos have a big VW emblem stamped right in the valve cover.  Imagine the indignant Volvo owners when they saw that!
